Muhammad & Bells:-

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 1.2        Narrated byAisha
(the mother of the faithful believers) Al-Harith bin Hisham asked Allah's Apostle "O Allah's Apostle! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you?" Allah's Apostle replied,
"Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell, this form of Inspiration is the hardest of all and then this state passes  off after I have grasped what is inspired.
Sometimes the Angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says." 'Aisha added: Verily I saw the Prophet being inspired Divinely on a very cold day and noticed the sweat dropping from his forehead (as the Inspiration was over).

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 1.577        Narrated byAnas
The people mentioned the fire and the bell (they suggested those as signals to indicate the starting of prayers), and by that they mentioned the Jews and the Christians.
Then Bilal was ordered to pronounce Adhan for the prayer by saying its wordings twice, and for the Iqama (the call for the actual standing for the prayers in rows) by saying its wordings once. (Iqama is pronounced when the people are ready for the prayer).

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 1.578        Narrated byIbn Umar
When the Muslims arrived at Medina, they used to assemble for the prayer, and used to guess the time for it. During those days, the practice of Adhan for the prayers had not been introduced yet. Once they discussed this problem regarding the call for prayer.
Some people suggested the use of a bell like the Christians, others proposed a trumpet like the horn used by the Jews, but 'Umar was the first to suggest that a man should call (the people) for the prayer; so Allah's Apostle ordered Bilal to get up and pronounce the Adhan for prayers.

*** This CONTRADICTS the report below in Fiqh 1.96 where in Umar only agreed that he too saw such a dream ***

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 4.249        Narrated byAbu Bashir Al Ansari
That he was in the company of Allah's Apostle on some of his journeys. (The sub-narrator 'Abdullah adds, "I think that Abu Bashir also said, 'And the people were at their sleeping places.") Allah's Apostle sent a messenger ordering:

"There shall not remain any necklace of string or any other kind of necklace (with bells) round the necks of camels except it is cut off."

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 4.438        Narrated byAisha
Al Harith bin Hisham asked the Prophet, "How does the divine inspiration come to you?" He replied, "In all these ways: The Angel sometimes comes to me with a voice which resembles the sound of a ringing bell, and when this state abandons me, I remember what the Angel has said, and this type of Divine Inspiration is the hardest on me; and sometimes the Angel comes to me in the shape of a man and talks to me, and I understand and remember what he says."

Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 498        Narrated byAbuUmayr ibn Anas
AbuUmayr reported on the authority of his uncle who was from the Ansar (the helpers of the Prophet): The Prophet (peace be upon him) was anxious as to how to gather the people for prayer.  The people told him: Hoist a flag at the time of prayer; when they see it, they will inform one another. But he (the Prophet) did not like it. Then someone mentioned to him the horn.
Ziyad said: A horn of the Jews. He (the Prophet) did not like it. He said: This is the matter of the Jews. Then they mentioned to him the bell of the Christians. He said: This is the matter of the Christians.
Abdullah ibn Zayd returned anxiously from there because of the anxiety of the Apostle (peace be upon him).

He was then taught the call to prayer in his dream. Next day he came to the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) and informed him about it.
He said: Apostle of Allah, I was between sleep and wakefulness; all of a sudden a newcomer came (to me) and taught me the call to prayer.

Umar ibn al-Khattab had also seen it in his dream before, but he kept it hidden for twenty days.  The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to me (Umar): What did prevent you from saying it to me?  He said: Abdullah ibn Zayd had already told you about it before me: hence I was ashamed.
Then the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Bilal, stand up, see what Abdullah ibn Zayd tells you (to do), then do it. Bilal then called them to prayer.  AbuBishr reported on the authority of AbuUmayr: The Ansar thought that if Abdullah ibn Zayd had not been ill on that day, the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) would have made him mu'adhdhin.

Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 2548        Narrated byUmm Habibah
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The angels do not go with a travelling company in which there is a bell.

Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 4218        Narrated byUmar ibn al-Khattab
Ibn az-Zubayr told that a woman client of theirs took az-Zubayr's daughter to Umar ibn al-Khattab wearing bells on her legs. Umar cut them off and said that he had heard the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) say: There is a devil along with each bell.

Sahih Muslim HadithHadith 5277        Narrated byAbuHurayrah
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: Angels do not accompany the travellers who have with them a dog and a bell.

Sahih Muslim HadithHadith 5279        Narrated byAbuHurayrah
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: The bell is the musical instrument of the Satan.

Al-Muwatta Hadith  Hadith 15.7
About the Qur'an
Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father from A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that al-Harith ibn Hisham asked the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,
"How does the revelation come to you?"
and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,
"Sometimes it comes to me like the ringing of a bell, and that is the hardest for me, and when it leaves me I remember what it has said. And sometimes the angel appears to me in the likeness of a man and talks to me and I remember what he says."
A'isha added, "I saw it coming down on him on an intensely cold day, and when it had left him his forehead was dripping with sweat."

Adhan, The Event Behind Its Legislation
The adhan was made part of the shari'ah during the first year after the migration to Madinah. The hadith clarify what led up to its institution.
Nafa' related that Ibn 'Umar said, "The Muslims would gather and calculate the time of prayer, and no one would call them. They spoke about that one day.
Some said, 'We should have a bell like the Christians.'
Others said, 'We should have a horn like the Jews.'
Suggested 'Umar, 'Why don't we have one person call the others to prayer?' The Messenger of Allah said, 'Stand, Bilal, and make the call to prayer." (Related by Ahmad and al-Bukhari.)

Reported 'Abdullah ibn (Zaid ibn) 'Abd Rabbih, "When the Prophet was to order the use of a bell to call the people to prayer, he disliked it because it resembled the Christian practice.
While I was sleeping, a man came to me carraying a bell. I said to him, 'O slave of Allah, will you sell me that bell?' Said he, 'What would you do with it?' I replied, 'I would call the people to prayer with it.' Said he, 'Shall I not guide you to something better than that?' I said, 'Certainly.' Said he, 'You should say, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. Ashhadu alla ilaha illal-lah, ashhadu alla ilaha illallah, Ashhadu anna Muhammad ar-Rasool-lal-lah, ashhadu anna Muhammadar-Rasool-lal-lah. Hayya 'alas-salah, hayyah 'alassalah. Hayya 'alal-falah, hayya 'alal-falah. Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. La ilaha illal-lah.' Then he went a short distance away and said, 'When you stand for the prayer, say, 'Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. Ashhadu alla ilaha illal-lah, Ashhadu anna Muhammad ar-Rasool-lal-lah Hayya 'alas-salah, hayya 'alal-falah. Qad qaamatis-salah, qad qaamatis-salah. Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. La ilaha illal-lah.'When the morning came, I went to the Messenger of Allah to tell him what I had seen. He said, 'Your dream is true, Allah willing. Go to Bilal, tell him what you have seen, and tell him to make the call to prayer, for he has the best voice among you.' I went to Bilal and told him what to do, and he made the call to prayer.

'Umar was in his house when he heard it. He came out with his cloak, saying 'By the One who has raised you with the truth, I saw similar to what he saw.'  The Prophet, upon whom be peace, said, 'To Allah is the praise." The hadith is related by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, Ibn Khuzaimah and at-Tirmidhi, who called it hassan sahih.

*** It should be pointed out to the reader, that both the Quran and Hadiths reflect the PERSONAL LIKES or DISLIKES of Muhammad and have absolutely nothing to do with logic, reality or fact.

The prohibition of the BELL is of the same thought processes of Muhammad that made him forbid the drinking of WINE (drunkedness in the mosque); the eating of GARLIC (smell offended him); the verse of the VEIL ( to separate the living room from the private rooms in his house); the hatred of DOGS; the prohibition of  QUESTIONING him (he did not have logical answers); etc, etc.

What is most relevant from these Hadiths is the fact that Muhammad associated BELLS with SATAN and yet, his most difficult 'REVELATIONS' were accompanied with RINGING of BELLS.

Considering the enormous number of grammatical errors in the Quran as well  as  the enormous number of HATEMONGERING, WARMONGERING, DISCRIMINATORY, CONTRADICTORY, STUPID, ILLOGICAL, UNHISTORICAL, ABROGATED & ABROGATING verses that fill the Quran, one's conclusion can ONLY be that no OMNISCIENT, MERCIFUL & COMPASSIONATE DIVINITY could have ever 'revealed' the Quran to Muhammad except

                                                       SATAN ***
